Port of Miami Tunnel
Result: An enormous project which required highly technical skills, was adequately staffed and successfully completed.
Bouygues Civil Works of France was contracted by FDOT to construct the Port of Miami Tunnel. They did not have the adequate complement of specialty staff to fully manage the project.
DSS was asked to provide talent and skill search services at the early stages of the project.
Very specific skill requirements were required which greatly reduced the candidate pool.
DSS established job descriptions and required qualifications and then conducted a national search, bringing talent to Miami from across the country. DSS also used personality test indexes to ensure the likelihood of successful employer/employee relationships.
Qualified specialists were recruited and placed on the project, which was successfully completed with almost 100% retention of skilled staff for the project duration.
